Supporting Twice-Exceptional and Neurodiverse Students
Building skills, confidence, and independence through personalized, strength-based tutoring and support
About Me (Megan)
My work is grounded in a strengths-based, neuro-affirming approach that honors each student’s unique learning profile. I draw on my education and experience supporting students with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, 2e profiles, and executive functioning challenges. My goal is to help students build confidence, develop effective strategies, find joy in learning again, and thrive academically.
My Relational Approach
Recognizing the individuality of each learner, I approach all one-on-one sessions through a student-centered lens. Learning profiles are as unique as students, and I find that young people are often interested in discovering how their brain works and how to help it work more easily on learning tasks. Getting to know each student and leveraging their interests and strengths, I help students recognize barriers to learning and acquire skills and confidence to move past them. I also help students connect with positive LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse role models and, within a supportive setting, unpack both explicit and implicit societal messages with the goal of increasing confidence and strengthening resilience.
